In July of 2016, Disney notified players that a data breach had happened that affected the Playdom Forums. In their information pop-up, they said: Although it is a difficult decision to shut down a game, this decision will allow us to focus on building new, more engaging games.” Playdom was owned by Disney. The reason Playdom gave for shutting down what appeared to be a very popular game (with tons of players) was vague. The information stated that Playdom was shutting down Gardens of Time on April 25, 2014. This was announced to players in a pop-up that appeared immediately after they tried to play Gardens of Time. In 2014, Playdom decided to abruptly shut down Gardens of Time (and some of their other games). I’m fairly certain that the game was also on Facebook. Originally, I was playing the game on my desktop computer (which is a Mac). I recently started playing Gardens of Time again after a long hiatus. My favorite part is the garden, where players can put different objects, buildings, and decorations – and move them around as they like.
